Título: Growth and the environment: Are we looking at the right data?
Autor: Ariaster B. Chimeli
Resumo/Sinopse: Time-series evidence on growth and the environment suggests an environmental Kuznets curve (EKC), whereas longitudinal studies fail to produce robust estimates for the EKC. This paper offers a theoretical explanation for these apparently contradicting findings, and theoretical guidance for future empirical work.
